Julia Triston

“Analysing Colour”

June 28th and 29th, 2018 10am – 4pm £190

3 spaces available

‘This is a design workshop all about analysing colour. There will be several practical sketchbook based exercises working with papers, paints and threads. We will investigate compositions, collages, colour proportions and colour distinctions. Students will work at their own pace to develop a range of ‘samples’ which may be used as inspiration for stitched textiles.’

An ideal workshop for those wishing to develop their design skill basics further and really get to grips with using colour in their work.

Julia is a member of the The Textile Study Group, Prism textiles, and a Licentiate of Merit with the Society of Designer Craftsmen. Julia has published two books – “How to be Creative in Textile Art” and “Contemporary Applique” and also teaches for StitchBusiness in Durham as well as producing work for many exhibitions. Current work is touring the UK in the Textile Study Groups DIS/rupt exhibition.

The workshop can be paid for in full or a deposit of £95 on booking and the balance £95 to be paid 4 weeks before the first day of the workshop. Please state which option when booking.
